Rangers F.C went into Liquidation owing £134 million
Scottish Premier League voted 10-1 to eject them from SPL.
Kilmarnock absatined.Rangers Newco were the 1 vote for themselves
Rangers Newco then applied for membership of the SFL.
SFA,SPL and SFL boards put all sorts of pressure on SFL to admit Rangers Newco to 1st Div.
League reconstuction, Playoffs to SPL, £1Mil TV deal for Rangers Newco etc.
However despite this there was 25 of 30 votes for Rangers Newco to start in Div 3.(13July12)
Airdrie abstained as we had an interest in the outcome, as we would be promoted to Div 1
to replace Dundee, if Rangers Newco went to Div 3.(16Jul12)
QOS and Stenhousemuir voted for Rangers Newco to go into Div 1.
So we get back up to the 1st Div to take the place of Dundee who replace Rangers in SPL.
